Dr. Junle Qu is a distinguished professor at the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University and presently serving as the director of Center for Biomedical Optics and Photonics. He graduated from Xi 'an Jiaotong University in 1992, and received his master's as well as PhD degrees in 1995 and 1998 respectively from Xi 'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He pursued his postdoctoral research at Indiana University (USA) from 2001 to 2003. Professor Junle Qu’s present research interests include multimodal nonlinear optical imaging, fluorescence lifetime imaging, super-resolution optical imaging, nanobiophotonics technology and light induced therapy. He has proposed and developed a series of new methods of biomedical optical imaging and nonlinear in situ induced photodynamic therapy. More than 500 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals have been published by Professor Junle Qu. Some of his notable publications include Nature Photonics, Nature Communications, Light Science & Applications, Nano Letters, Advanced Science, Advanced Materials, Chemical Society Reviews, Chem, Laser & Photonics Reviews, Optics Letters, More than 500 SCI papers have been published in journals such as Optics Express. Total 60 invention patents had been authorized to him till date, out of which 18 patents are transferred. Dr. Junle Qu is a Fellow of International Society for Optical Engneering (SPIE), Optical Society of America(Optica) and Chinese Optical Society(COS). He has been serving as the director of Biomedical Photonics Committee of Chinese Optical Society. He is the Associate Editor of Biomedical Optics Express, Associate Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences (JIOHS), and also serving presently in the editorial board of Frontiers of Optoelectronics, Chinese Laser, Biosensors and Acta Optica Sinica.
