Dr. Jian Ma is a professor of Xiamen University, and is also the associate dean of College of the Environment & Ecology, the associate director of State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science, the co-chair of Dongshan Swire Marine Station. At the same time, he is the member of the committee of young scientists of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, the member of the two committees (Marine Technology and Equipment and Marine Chemistry) of Chinese Society for Oceanography, and Associate Editor of the international journal Frontiers in Marine Science. He has been engaged in the research and development of on-line and in situ monitoring techniques for marine environment for a long time. Focusing on scientific research and operational monitoring needs, he has achieved serial research results in trace analytical chemistry methods, automated instrument design, on-site application and standardization research. He is the leading author of the standard of marine monitoring (HY/T 0344-2022). As first/corresponding author, he has published more than 40 SCI papers, authorized 7 patents, registered 2 software copyrights and co-authored 1 book. He is the principal investigator of more than 10 national and provincial projects, including national key research and development program, national natural science foundation projects, projects from the Ministry of Education and Fujian Province.
